Cool season lawns are coming back to life in the fall.  September is a great time to renovate and reseed your tall fescue lawn.  Fertilize and lime existing lawns to help your grass grow deep roots for the coming year. We have plenty of fertilizers, lime, and seed in stock. 

We stock Kentucky 31 Tall Fescue grass seed, Winning Colors turf-blend, Carolina All Purpose Blend, Creeping Red Fescue, and Signature Series Tall Fescue Blend.

Kentucky 31 Tall Fescue is a vigorous, fast growing course variety, well adapted for lawns in the Southeast.  Resents close clipping - cut at 2 1/2 to 3 inches.  Adapted to all soils except deep sand.  Sow 6 to 10 10 lbs per 1,000 sq.ft. for lawns.

Carolina All Purpose Blend was developed by Wyatt-Quarles Seed Co.  This blend is ideal for lawns in the mid-Southeast.  Featuring grasses most suited to the clilmate, soils, semi-shade, etc. of our area.  The finest seeds of these varieties are carefully selected, tested saparately and then blended into Carolina All Purpose Blend.  Sow 5 lbs. per 1,000 sq.ft.  

Creeping Red Fescue is a shade and drought tolerant variety that should be in semi-shade or shady lawns.  The very fine leaves and dark green color improves the appearance of the lawn.  Like other sade tolerant cool weather grasses, this variety does not tolerate clippping below 2 to 3 inches until well established.  Sow 6 to 8 lbs. per 1,000 sq.ft.

Winning Colors tall turf fescue is an great choice of grass for cool-season applications. It holds up well under southern heat, drought and it is disease resistant (including brown patch.) Winning Colors has excellent density, texture and dark green color.
